Topic
Our topic for this term is Winter / Christmas. We plan to explore the changing season and do lots of fun creative Christmas activities including lanterns, crowns, Christmas cards and making a Christmas cake. (Please see planning sheet for more information.)
Party Day
Party day will be held on the last day of term – 16th December. No packed lunches required on the day but please can you bring in an item of food (a list will be available nearer the time). We will supply sandwiches.
WeatherÂ
Very occasionally we have had to close Magic Box during extreme weather conditions, usually due to the roads being too dangerous for staff and children to attend safely. If this does occur this winter, we will notify parents as soon as we have made the decision to close. Please ensure that we have your up to date contact numbers. Thank you.
Sickness
If your child is unwell, please can you ring the pre-school and inform us of the nature of their illness as we have to keep a record of this information. May we remind you that if your child has had sickness or diarrhoea they must not return to the setting until 48 hours after the last bout of illness. Thank you for your support.
Outdoor clothing
Please ensure that your child brings in sufficient warm/waterproof clothing, including gloves and hats for outside play. We aim to play outside twice a day in all weather. (If you wish to keep winter clothing at Magic Box there will a marked box at the entrance.)
